Types of CD/DVD Duplicators
Today, the market is flooded with a wide range of CD and DVD duplicators, each providing excellent CD and DVD copy solutions. Some duplicators are equipped with advanced features and can produce multiple copies at one go, while others can only copy one CD/DVD at a time. There are also IDE/SATA duplicators and hard drives available, as well as Bluray and Lightscribe duplicators.
Duplicators may be broadly classified into two categories on the basis of operation – Manual CD DVD duplicators and Automatic CD DVD duplicators. It is advisable to buy a duplicator according to your personal requirements and budget rather than just opting for a high-end, and high price, duplicator.
What Duplicator is Right for You?
Automatic CD DVD Duplication Systems
Also known as PC CD DVD Autoloaders Duplicators, this type operates via a PC connection and uses an autoloader, which handles insertion and removal of the discs during the copy and print cycles. The connection is made to the system via USB, Firewire, or both. With a PC CD DVD duplicator, you can master the CD DVD from the host PC and use it to create thousands of copies. The duplication process cannot take place without the host PC, as the duplication system uses the facility of the host PCs operating system during the process. Autoloader duplicators speed up the duplication process by eliminating human intervention.
Network Duplicator System
These duplicator systems are beneficial for organizations where production of DVD/CDs is incorporated in the business model, allowing programmers to create custom CDs using development toolkits. Network Duplicator Systems offer an automated CD DVD production process and may be easily accessed by multiple clients.
Stand-alone CD DVD Duplicator
Stand-alone CD DVD Autoloader duplicators, on other hand, are very beneficial for remote application where there is no access to a host PC. They are mostly used to record live events and create master discs, since their convenient portability makes them adjust to different environments. They are typically used in large organizations with large volumes of copying requirements.
CD DVD Tower Duplicator
Manual, entry level duplicators are very popular in different production levels as they provide huge output at affordable rates and an array of high speed optical recorders. The master disc is a PC or CD DVD recorder, which is further used to produce duplicate copies.
