This surface is specifically designed to work with Rimage Everest Printers. Standard “shiny lacquer” surface will not hold a Rimage Everest print. The surface offers a more cloudy silver surface as compared to a surface with no coating, but this Taiyo Yuden coating provides the finest Thermal Everest print surface available on DVD, built specifically to Rimage specifications. Using a white thermal surface may produce a better print when printing in color with an Everest, as the white background is a better base to show true print colors. Be certain that the Silver Thermal surface is what you are looking for and that your resulting printed artwork will look nice over a silver background. We have many clients who create striking artwork using the Rimage Everest and the Taiyo Yuden Silver Thermal for Everest, taking advantage of the mirrored look that the silver surface delivers.
